Walter was born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. His family moved to Florida where he attended middle school, high school, and completed his undergraduate degree. He played baseball through college and joined the US Army where he proudly served for almost ten years. Continuing his passion to help others, he obtained his graduate degree in counseling and clinical psychology from Troy University where was recognized by Chi Sigma Iota, the international honor society of professional counselors, for his outstanding academic achievement. Additionally, he was recognized by the Catholic Charities of Central Florida for his volunteer work while providing trauma intervention services to the Pulse mass shooting survivors. Walter enjoys spending time with his family, music, traveling, and a good cup of coffee. ​
